Dungeon23: Greystone - Day 4

Today, I learned more about the goblins inhabiting this section of the dungeon. I roughed them out as a faction using the Four Blanks Method from GFC's DND YouTube Channel. You should definitely check out that channel. It is small, but mighty.

So, here's what we know about these goblins-

Faction: Bloodfeather Goblins
Objective: Increased territory
Obstacle: Kobolds (TBD)
Method: Raids/Warfare

This is a discrete band of goblins, who hold some territory here in the dungeon, but would like more. We already know from a previous day that they actually moved here from further down in the dungeon. If they're relatively recent arrivals here, perhaps there are more of them somewhere, thus the need for more space. The chief obstacle to their expansion is kobolds. I'd already had it in the back of my mind that there would be kobolds in the dungeon, but know I know for sure. There must be a population of them somewhere and I assume that the two territories abut one another. The goblins' preferred method of gaining this increased territory is through raiding and warfare. They're literally just going to try to muscle their way into kobold territory.

Now that I'm thinking about it, perhaps this conflict has been going on for a while. Maybe the kobolds used to have much more territory, but the Bloodfeathers took it away and established a base in this house.

Alright!  I also added space for me to record the name of their leader and their numbers. I wrote down 19, but that might change depending on what more we learn about this level of the dungeon. While he doesn't have a name yet, the Bloodfeathers do have a leader, which brings us to today's room.

Room 1-4 is the Dining Room.  This was once a large and impressive dining room for the family who lived in this home and their guests. It features a long wooden table which is now supported on one end by stacked rocks. The walls were once decorated by proud banners now frayed and torn. Lounging around here are four goblins, eating a couple of roasted fire beetles. They each have a few EP strung around their necks on strings.

There's also a 50% chance that their leader is here also gorging himself on beetle. This guy is a 2HD goblin. He's bigger and stronger than any of the others, which is why he's the boss. He also has a LOT of treasure. He's got 350 GP sewn onto a leather vest and he wears a gem-inlaid golden tiara. If he's not here, he's in Room 1-5, but more on that tomorrow!

You'll notice that I've drawn in the rest of the rooms for this week. By the end of the day yesterday, I knew what more I wanted for this section, so I just drew them in. I know what the rooms are, but details will be fleshed out each day as per usual.

See you tomorrow!
